The volunteers then rolled up their sleeves and got to work on several gardening projects, including mulching evergreen beds in front of the school, and planting 15 Hostos plants around ALC’s flagpole. Seven L’Oréal volunteers participated in the day, which began with a brief orientation, followed by a tour of ALC, a school for students with autism and multiple disabilities ages 3-21. “I followed up and was delighted with their offer to help in any way they could,” Solberg added. “One of our parents works at L’Oréal Cranbury and volunteered our school to be part of their “Give Back” program,” said Academy Learning Center (ALC) Principal Erik Solberg, in a prepared statement.
